DIY lace dress

I found a rather large piece of fabric at my local vintage shop ages ago, and I decided to make a pretty little lace dress. I started by clearing a space my floor, then laid the fabric out smoothly.

Folding the fabric, I then cut out the shape of the dress. You can use a pattern but I didn't have one suitable. By folding the fabric you get two identical pieces, one for the front of the dress and one for the back.

I then pinned the edges to be sewn, leaving around 2-3 inches between each pin as the fabric is flexible.

Once I had pinned the dress together, i sewed all the seams leaving the bottom open and openings for my arms and head.

This is the result! Please mind my hair and shocking roots..
