My latest tattoo

I've been dreaming of a tattoo on my forearm for a while now, and I already had 4 tattoos but they were fairly small. A big tattoo, especially on your arm is a huge commitment so I thought about this one long and hard. I finally plucked up the courage to go get some info in January so I went to the Country Gent in Huddersfield, and spoke to Simon who kindly agreed to tattoo me. He's done two small tattoos for me before and he's an amazing artist (I would highly recommend him!).

I decided to go for a Lion. It goes without saying that lions are beautiful animals, and there's just something about their eyes that draws you in. I have many reasons behind my choice, but most of all lions are a symbol of strength. Below is the finished piece.

This picture was taken two days after my final sitting, so he is not fully healed (although he does look all dark and mysterious). I sat for just over 5 hours and I can't really say it didn't hurt. Since starting my lion I have learned from Simon that I have super sensitive skin so after around half an hour my arm swelled up and started getting sore. It probably hurt me more because of this, but I would still only rate the pain at 5 out of 10.

I'm in love with my little man, and I can definitely say that there will be more to come!

Too Faced chocolate bar review

I'm by no means a professional make-up artist, but I do love good quality make-up. I have been hearing about the new too faced chocolate bar palette for a while now, so when I spied it in Sephora when I visited Rome I couldn't resist.

The first thing I noticed when I ripped open the packaging was the smell. My whole room was filled with the scent of cocoa, and it's not a sickly tacky smell either. The eyeshadows actually contain cocoa powder, so the smell is to die for. The colours are great too! I haven't actually tried any of the naked palettes, but I feel that the Too Faced palette has a good range or nudes and pinks (similar to Naked 3) but it also has plums too.

As you can see from the picture above there are a great range of colours, which are all matte. I feel that the shadows are quite chalky, and you feel like they're crumbling as you try to get the pigment onto your brush, but this doesn't reflect when applying. ! I must add that I felt the more sparkly shadows need to be 'dabbed' on (sorry if there is a more technical term) rather than blended, that way you a real wow effect.

Over-all thoughts, it's very versatile and you can get so many different looks from the one palette. I am in love, and will be taking it everywhere for the forceable future.

Long time no speak

I'm back!

I feel like I have been away from the internet world for forever. A lot has changed in my world recently so I decided to start my blog again, and what better way to begin that my last lookbook post. It's pretty old now, but I'm wearing Miss Selfridge black skinny jeans, my mums long sleeved top from Next and a cute little hat from Topshop.

Spray me silver

A cheeky can of metallic spray paint jumped out at me whilst routing through the cupboards last week. After looking through blogs I decided to bring some life to my old faded black skinny jeans.

I started by protecting my carpet with a black bin bag, and laying the jeans out flat. I sprayed the top first, which came out really nice.

I then set to work on the legs. This was really difficult as the spray paint didn't seem to cover everything even though I was spraying evenly.

Eventually after spraying both the front and back, my work was done!

This was a trial and error project, and my supplies were limited. The paint I used was just some metal paint (not fabric paint) so it had a really strong paint smell to it. I hand washed my jeans and sadly some of the paint came off. I'm now left with a slightly patchy pair of sparkly silver jeans :(

DIY spike fasten coin pouch

Today I'm in a very creative mood. Rummaging through my fabric chest I found some old leather from a pair of 70s pants I cut into shorts. I cut a square piece out and folded it like an envelope, then glued it together and made a spike fastening.

This was a really easy DIY and it took around 5 minutes in all!

I think it's a really cute addition to my bags and purses collection!

DIY inspiration- cracked jeans

My inspiration this week came from a blog called Love Aesthetics

One of her posts was about how she reinvented her old black jeans by painting them white. Now I only had limited supplies, so my project is slightly different, but still credit where credit is due!

Pictures up later!

Prick me

My current obsession is spiked heels. I love the fashionable but dangerous look. Below is my 'prick me' project, only ideas at the moment
